There are many factors to consider when buying a tent, as the size and cost. But the design is certainly another factor, you should think about. Each design tent has its own advantages and disadvantages, so it is very important to find out which design is best for the planned trip.

Generally there are three basic designs tent
Ridge tent Cabin Tent Dome Tent

Let's take a look at their strengths and weaknesses.

Ridge tent

This designquite similar to traditional tent. It is basically a support rod, tent-shaped roof, supported by external tie rods. Tents Ridge show a simple structure and are usually very easy to set, making it convenient for travel or other backpacker travel where your tent erected in a different place every night and a place to sleep and store things . Are 1 to 3 bars and are quite easy. However, this design is not the tentmost suitable for the weather.

Cabin Tent

This tent is ideal for families or larger groups to spend more time in one place, for example, in a campsite. After the almost vertical walls, tent cabin has a large room head that you want to go around the inside and create mobile field where you can. This indoor entertainment on rainy days or just to make dinner. Some may be in different rooms, which allow more privacy divided.

TheTent Cabin is the design that uses the highly efficient and provides the base area inside. When the maximum comfort and space, then this is the design of your choice. However, a tent cabin lasts longer and heavier than in the same way the space is filled with exciting and large dome tents.

Dome Tent

The traditional form is a single dome, but there are also several buildings made of domes. Another type is the dome, or half of the design of the tunnel, a large tent for himselfBackpacking. A dome tent offers a large space on the floor, but less room than a tent cabin of the same size. However, it is much lighter than a tent cabin, and thanks to its rounded shape and flexible rods, is very wind resistant and very durable even in extreme climatic conditions.

A dome-style tent is not the best option if you want to have many devices, space and comfort and are likely to spend much time at home, but it is certainly a good choice for the roadwith a tent (which means that basically only sleep in it), especially if you expect to wind and weather.

In general, the best tent for a camping holiday family-style cabin is usually a while before and dome tents are stronger candidates excursions. Good weather for hiking, a tent ridge is probably sufficient, but for bad weather, you're better off with a dome tent. But it is also a matter of personal taste, and the world is not black andWhite. There are many hybrids on the market, most functions of different tent designs. If no one seems to be the basic design really correct, these hybrids may be the solution for you.
